HonestView Privacy Policy

Introduction

HonestView respects and protects the personal privacy of all users of its services. To provide you with more accurate and personalized services, HonestView uses and discloses your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and treats this information with a high degree of diligence and care.

Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, HonestView will not disclose this information or provide it to third parties without your prior permission. HonestView may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. By agreeing to the HonestView Service Use Agreement, you are deemed to have agreed to the entire contents of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is an integral part of the HonestView Service Use Agreement.

Everyone has different privacy concerns. Our goal is to clearly explain what information we collect, so that you can make informed choices about how it is used.

Information We Collect and Permissions We Request

1. Personal registration information

When you register your account, you will be asked to provide personal registration information. Personal data is only used within the scope of your personal authorization. In addition, we only collect the data we need in order to maintain the services our company provides to you.

2. Account verification information

Personal data is only used within the scope of your personal authorization, in order to maintain the services our company provides to you.

3. Reading phone status and identity

We need to read your identity and phone status. We do not collect or store the requested data; it is used only for device identification, so that we can adapt our multi-language support and serve you better.

4. Microphone recording and voice

We need access to your device's microphone. We do not collect or store the requested data, which can only be accessed through the camera or receiver.

5. Input method services

We need to request input method services in order to switch languages according to different countries and regions.

6. Discovering and connecting to devices

The app requests permission for your mobile device to discover and identify devices, so that remote operation can be performed from the mobile side.

7. Vibration and notifications triggered by the alarm push service

We need to request in-app alarms in order to provide reminder services and notify you with timely feedback.

8. Your location: approximate location (network-based) and precise location (GPS and network-based)

We need to determine the location of your mobile device by using GPS together with the network.

9. Location updates

We need to request location updates when your mobile device is moving across networks.

10. Network communication

1. View network connections — display the current network status of the mobile device, for example a 4G network;
2. Obtain Wi-Fi hotspot information — display information about the connected WLAN, such as its name;
3. View WLAN connections;
4. Change the network connection status;
5. Connect to and disconnect from WLAN networks;
6. Full network access;
7. Obtain the network status and whether the network connection is valid.

11. Mobile web information

When you use the HonestView web service or visit HonestView platform web pages, HonestView automatically receives and records your information, including but not limited to your mobile web information, IP address, Wi-Fi access point, operating system version, software version, the language used, the date and time of your visit, hardware and software characteristics, and the web page records you request.

12. Application information

1. Retrieve running applications;
2. Run at startup. The following data is collected when you use the application: your IP address and mobile device login data (including the device ID);
3. When you use our app, data is generated during use of the camera or receiver, such as the date and time of the call and the amount of data generated by the camera or receiver; notifications are also transmitted to your mobile device;
4. To use this application, you must register on the application platform. You must therefore submit personal data, such as your name and email address. Part of the data provided may be supplied to us by an online store operator. The collected data will be stored as necessary for the performance of the contract.

13. Screenshots and video playback access

When you view screenshots in the app or save video playback to your album, video access is required. If you want to view screenshots or videos, the app needs your permission; screenshots and video playback are only accessed with your permission.

14. Graphics display, preview and playback, and frame caching for screenshots

With your permission, HonestView will call the phone's screenshot function to take screenshots.

15. Vibration control and WLAN multicast

The app requests permission to control vibration and to allow the reception of WLAN multicast.

16. System tools

The app requests system tool permission to modify system settings.

17. Screen orientation

The app requests permission to set the screen orientation to landscape or portrait.

18. Push notifications

If you want our push notifications to be shown on your mobile device, you must grant us permission, even if the application is not open on your phone. The first time you start the application, we will ask for your permission. The application uses these push notifications only if you explicitly agree. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.

19. TF card operations

The app requests permission to format the TF card and delete its contents. We request your permission before carrying out any TF card operation.

Information Use, Sharing, and Disclosure

20. No sale or sharing of personal information

We will not provide, sell, rent, share, or trade your personal information with any unrelated third party without your prior permission, unless the third party and our company, individually or jointly, provide services for you; after those services end, the third party will be prohibited from accessing all of the information it previously had access to.

21. No third-party collection of your information

We do not allow any third party to collect, edit, sell, or distribute your personal information free of charge by any means. If any user engages in such activities and this is discovered, we have the right to immediately terminate the service agreement with that user.

22. Use of information for service purposes

For the purpose of serving you, we may use your personal information to provide you with information of interest to you, including but not limited to sending you information about products and services, or sharing information with our partners so that they may send you information about their products and services (the latter requires your prior consent).

23. Information disclosure

In the following cases, we will disclose your personal information in whole or in part, according to your personal wishes or legal requirements:

1. With your prior consent, to a third party;
2. Where it is necessary to share your personal information with a third party in order to provide the products and services you have requested;
3. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the law, or at the request of administrative or judicial authorities, to a third party or to administrative or judicial authorities;
4. If you violate relevant laws or regulations, or the service agreement or related rules, where disclosure to a third party is required;
5. If you are an intellectual property complainant and have filed a complaint, at the request of the respondent, so that both parties can handle a possible rights dispute;
6. In a transaction created on the HonestView platform, if any party to the transaction has fulfilled or partially fulfilled its transaction obligations and requests disclosure of information, we may decide to provide that user with necessary information, such as the contact details of the counterparty, to facilitate the completion of the transaction or the settlement of the dispute;
7. Other disclosures deemed appropriate under laws, regulations, or website policies.

Information Storage and Exchange

1. The information and materials about you collected by HonestView will be stored on the servers of HonestView and/or its affiliated companies. This information and material may be sent to, and accessed, stored, and displayed in, your country or region, or locations outside the country where the information and material were collected;
2. Read the contents of your SD card;
3. Modify or delete the contents of your SD card.

Information Security

Please keep your username and password safe to ensure that your information is not lost, and to avoid your information being accessed, tampered with, published, or damaged without authorization. Please also be aware that no network offers "perfect security measures."

26. Online transactions

When you use the HonestView web service for online transactions, you will inevitably disclose your personal information, such as contact details or postal address, to the counterparty or a potential counterparty. Please protect your personal information and provide it to others only when necessary. If you discover that your personal information has been leaked, especially your username and password, please contact the relevant personnel immediately so that appropriate measures can be taken.

Unique Application Number

Some services contain a unique application number. When you install or uninstall the related services, or when these services communicate with our servers periodically (for example, for automatic software updates), this number and installation-related information (such as the operating system type and the application version number) are sent to the application platform.

Content and Advertising

The application does not contain unauthorized copyrighted content.

29. Download safety

The application contains no dangerous download links or buttons.

30. Advertising

The application does not include fraudulent advertising, advertising that interferes with or disrupts the device's functions, or advertising with inappropriate content. Where the application contains advertising, the application platform regards it as part of the application.

Changes to This Policy

Our Privacy Policy may change at any time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your express consent. We will post any changes to this Privacy Policy on this page; for significant changes, we will provide more prominent notice (including, for certain services, notification by email explaining the specific changes to the Privacy Policy).
